Glycol Cleaning

Especially for the cleaning of filters for polyester or PET applications Indusclean developed a special cleaning technique based on tri-ethylene glycol or TEG.(controlled glycolysis ) This technique reduces PET into Glycol (ethanediol) which is together with terephthalic acid a major component of PET . PET finds its use in the production of bottles and clothes. By bringing  PET contaminated components in 275 C hot TEG the polymer will be decomposed  after which it can be removed from the contaminated parts. The remaining contamination can be easily removed by using ultrasonic technology. The presence of charred or degraded polymer (causing black points) can be removed by oxidation in the pyrolysis oven. The final result will be a 100% clean filter element ready for its next run.
